Spoilers -- When did you first figure out the secret?

If it was before the very end?

I figured it out about halfway through, at the anniversary dinner. I heard there was a twist, so I was trying to figure out what it was. At first, it appears that people are interacting with Willis, so I didn't think he was a ghost. However, at the dinner, I realized that she never actually looked at him, and that's when it started clicking.

Usual Suspects took me a little longer, maybe 75% of the way through.

Any other good twist films out there? I love those. I've seem Memento, the ghost movie with DeNiro and the little girl, The Others, etc.

The Ring was scary partly because of the twist near the end -- wasn't really over like we thought it was.

I see ALOT of films and I always know things way before they happen. I can see a vase on the fireplace in the first scene, and say "that has something to do with the end..." and I'm always right.

That said... I had NO idea the ending before it happened. It was a pleasant total surprise... and I love it.

Before it started, I heard that this movie had a twist in it.

In the trailers the kid said he saw dead people, so I guessed that Bruce Willis was actually dead. It was obvious that was happening right after he got shot and the fact that the only person he actually interacted with was the kid.

When you heard there was a twist is doesn't count that you figured it out

You say you figured it out as if writers tell a story according to the laws of natural science.

If at the end of the film, it turned out he wasn't dead, does that mean you didn't "figure it out"?

What you mean is that, this time, you correctly guessed where the story teller was gonna take the story.

What I'm sure you conveniently forget is how many times you've guessed like this and been wrong. Probably like 90% of the time.
