Please don't hate on me for saying this..

Loved Fellowship, I do prefer it, but Return of the King is still great, in my opinion.

The Fellowship of the Ring is the most accurate to the source material. It's also the one movie with no cringy scenes such as Aragorn's fake death or the Pirates of the Caribbeans winning the battle of Pellenor Fields.

But, The Return of the King is the one with all the payoffs set up in the 2 previous movies. It also has a very satisfying ending that takes its time to send off all our beloved characters after nearly 12 hours.

Why hate on you? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Well there are really 2 different stories being told, we have Volume V which has Aragorn, Gimli, Legloas, Gandalf, Merry and Pippin and then there is Volume VI which has Frodo, Sam and Gollum. I thought Volume V was stupid as hell, but Volume VI had some heart to it and I overall really liked it. In the end I thought Sam and Frodo’s friendship worked.

I find the daylight orc with regular flesh tones is off-putting. The Army of the Dead is really interesting.


It was satisfying to see it completed in theaters, but I can't finish the series anymore. I usually turn off #1 once they meet the elves.
