Carrie is so judgemental to other men

Anyone noticed how Carrie is easily "disgusted" by even relatively non-important things about other men but obviously does not notice how her own husband looks and acts like? I mean, if she was married to someone like Dr Derek Shepherds or someone like that it would be kinda understandable for her to have high criteria, but Doug?
She is hates her boss Pruzan and thinks he is "gross" but other than being incompetent, childish and selfish (which also could be said for Doug) and I don't see he looks or acts any worse that Doug. Same for poor O'Boyle. Why is he such "freak"? He is again not worse than any other character including Carrie. And why was she freaked out so much when he grieved after his pet? Every sane person grieves after dead pet. Granted, feathers in wallet are a bit too much but it's not that freaky.
I know it's for the sake of laughs but really, it's not like her standards are that high.

You are forgetting: she's in love with Doug. She's not in love with O'Boyle or Pruzan. Big difference.

That is pretty common. I don't know where it stems from, but some women have to behave as if their own husbands are the greatest men ever to walk the earth.

I used to work with 2 women who would talk at great length about their husbands, every aspect, seeming to compete with each other about how wonderful they were. It was so bad, one coworker even yelled at them and quit. I guess I got used to it.

One couple split up, the other didn't. Later on, things came out about both, they were not all that perfect. Flawed human beings, after all.

she criticizes Doug all the time.
Pruzan was a weirdo, there's no denying that. when Doug's sister was dating him it was pretty evident. i don't remember too well, but there was something about dolls, no? ;)
and O'Boyle, i think the weird part was that a group thing was planned, only Doug and Carrie showed up, and despite him grieving and therefore not being in a great mood, decided to tag along with a couple. just imagine your boss (or your partner's boss) behaving like he did, you'd think it's weird, too.

Carrie's just a really judgemental person. you think she's more judgemental towards men because there are much more men on the show, but she's never been more tolerant towards Holly, for example, or all the weird couples they met.

Pruzan collected marionettes (puppet dolls), I believe.

To be fair, Carrie's pretty judgmental of women, too.
