Fav scenes the one's that made u laugh and smile or even cry

I just got finished watching this for the ? time, (I've watched it quite a few times). I probably have a lot more favorite scenes, but the one that always gets to me (as it just did) is the scene for Melvin's funeral. Smokey singing that song, it was a favorite of my friend who I lost and each time I watch that scene, I see her and cry and cry and cry :(. The movie may have a lot of inaccuracies, but the music will sound in my heart ....


¤¤ Shared dreams are shared smiles ¤¤

Well, one scene that had me sobbing was at Blue's funeral when Smokey is singing. Sad,sad moment. No matter how many times I watch the movie, I can never bring myself to watch that ending because it puts me in a somber mood. What does it for is when Smokey is singing and they cut to the flashbacks of when they first met and their high moments. And you see Otis crying his eyes out. The actor who played Otis....amazing actor.

My favourite scene is when David Ruffin hijacks the stage performance and gives his 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg' rendering to a startled ecstatic audience. I know just how excited they felt. The other scene was the last one. A ghost like young again Temptations lineup give a nostalgic rendering of 'My Girl' to an empty audience. I tried to singalong to the lyrics but I just emotionally croaked on them. Great stuff.

Alot of my favorite scenes were mentioned, but a couple weren't.

1. Paul singing "For Once in My Life"

2. When they were singing "Paradise" [before their big break] and Eddie SANGS "I got it.... Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooOOOOOOOoooooooo!" I swoon every time.! Yass!

3. When David gets on stage with Eddie to sing "You're My Everything"

4. My FAVORITE dance scene is when they were on the Motortown Revue for the 2nd time performing "The Girl's Alright With Me". They were so smooth.

5. NEW YEARS EVE: "You know you make me wanna SHOUT! Zip my pants up and SHOUT! Throw my hands up and SHOUT! Kick my heels off and SHOUT!"

6. And the very first scene with The Cadillacs singing "Speedo".

7. Getting a perm!! HHAAHAHAAAAA! Too funny!


"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

The movie just went off. I love popping in the DVD and also watching it on tv! Everyone named my favorites repeatedly but the main one that makes me laugh every single time I think about it is:

"Ain't nobody coming to see you, Otis!"

I always tear up at the final scene in the empty theater. Great call to do it like that. Young, good-looking, sexy and close like brothers. That's the way I want to remember them.


(Paul Williams was my favorite Temp. I remember as if it were yesterday, when the news came over the radio that he had killed himself.)


"MOJO2014"

One of my funny scenes is when Paul is drunk as hell, singing 'For Once In My Life' and they're trying to get him out the door. Hell yells out, "I can sing the song for the entire nation but I can't sing it in my own house!?"

The awesome thing about David Ruffin showing up at Temptations gigs after he was fired from the group was that it really happened.

1. "Now the longer you keep that on yo haiiir the straighta it'll get." "OOOOOOOHHHHH! OOHHHHH!" I think of it every time I get my hair done.

2. When more producers and songwriters want a sandwich more than The Temptations' new single and then vice versa.

3. "The way you smell so sweet, you know you could have been some perfume *sniff sniff sniff*"

4. The Girl's Alright With Me

5. When David steals the mic of course and claps for himself after the song.

6. "Ain't nobody comin' to see you Otis!"

And then the scenes that make me cry are when Otis finds out Lamont dies, when Blue dies, and when the original Temps sing "My Girl" at the end.
