The CGI still holds up

There are a few shots here and there that show the movies age, but overall the CGI looks more impressive and seamless than a lot of moves coming out today. Great stuff. It's the same with Starship Troopers (same director), the CGI still looks great.

So I just watched this for the first time since about 2001. I know that's an awful long time, but I remember thinking the CGI was pretty bad. Before I watched it this second time I had the thought that it was really going to look like shit now. I was pretty impressed. Damn good for its time.

I watched this again a couple of years back and thought the CGI looked good.
