Where the HELL is the Blu-ray?!!

This film is beautiful.

Much like Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, the manipulation of lights to amplify the atmosphere is done brilliantly here.

It deserves a Blu-ray release... any word on that?

You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes

Man i've been waiting 2 years and wondering the same thing. Where the hell is the bluray release!? The movie has such a great artistic style, with the combination of lighting, blurs, visions and amazing fast cuts/edits that it was one of the most enjoyable movie experiences I ever had. Please release this! We finally got Taxi Driver, now it's time for Bringing Out The Dead.

I totally agree this film looks incredible. Scorsese just created an exileratng viewing experience, and Thelma Shoonmaker's editing is superb also. You are totally right blu ray was made for pictures like this.

It is available in 1080p on vudu, compared to the DVD it looked way sharper and had more detail. So an HD print is out there I think the bluray will be released. Even tho it wasn't a big hit, the fact that it's Scorsese means it will get released. King of Comedy would be anothetour like to see. If New York New York can get a bluray...

It's one of my fave Scorsese flicks & I'm hoping HUGO'S release this Fall will coerce someone to release the film on Bluray.

Hell, they're both Paramount releases so I hope someone at the studio is thinking about it.

There. It's on the Internet. Thus it's official

My favorite Scorsese movie with Taxi Driver. This needs a blu-ray!

Sadly, Mulholland MD is probably right. For now, anyway.

I'm not sure why the blu-ray floodgates haven't been well and truly opened yet; there are so many wonderful catalogue titles that would benefit if the studios dug a little deeper in their own vaults.

I agree that this should be released in High Definition. However, Eyes Wide Shut sucks.

If the movie were as good as people insist on here, it would have already had one. Barely any movie I like is lacking a Blu-ray. Only Virgin Suicides, The Crush, Ghost World, The Village, and some Poison Ivy movies. And I know Virgin Suicides is indeed on BR in some regions.
