how old are fans?
I was just wondering how old fans of this movie are? whether you were the same age as the characters/older/younger?

share26, first time seeing it.
shareTiny bit older than the characters--as they were at the time of the comic, not the film--about four years difference. So everything in this movie is basically my life as a person in their late teens/early twenties in the early nineties, trying to figure things out.
I never really did, so I guess that makes me more like Enid than not.

This movie came out when I was 14. I saw it at 15 or 16 but didn't really appreciate it until I re-watched it on Amazon Prime just now.
shareI was 28 when I first saw this movie and enjoyed it. I'm over 40 today & still love it.
shareSaw it for the first time last night. It's good and I am glad I bought the DVD for repeated future viewings. Maybe not too many though, because I am 76.
shareI'm 30 now. I was 19 when I first saw the film. Enjoyed it right away, but it took a couple more watches before I loved it.
The mirror... it's broken.
Yes, I know. I like it that way. Makes me look the way I feel.
first saw it when i was 23. still love it at 36.
shareI'm 57. Everyone says I look like Steve B. I love this movie, but not (maybe) for the obvious reasons. Oddly enough, I love music and have a big vinyl collection. Not 78s, haha, although I do remember a couple of 78s in the house and even a totally plastic record player I had, had a 78 setting for it. You could make your record speed up and laugh about it.
But that isn't the point of the movie. I don't know what the point of the movie is, but it's funny and touching -- or maybe I should say "profound" since touching has different connotations.
Anyway, it's a very unusual movie, but in a good way.
For some reason, I think ScarJo wishes it were not on her resume.
What is she, Iron Girl or something these days? That'll get you an Oscar.
I'm not a woman much less Deanna Durbin, but the old-time glam-shot appeals to me.
I'm the old guy, coming in at 63.
share:D:D reading this 11 year old post of people saying they are 13 - 15
...was 19 then, but saw the movie yesterday first time
