I was just wondering how old fans of this movie are? whether you were the same age as the characters/older/younger?
shareI'm 17 and just watched it for the first time. It was awesome! It's absolutely hilarious but at the same time some of the scenes completely depressed me. I can relate to how Enid felt though and I'm betting most people can relate to Enid's feelings, even if they aren't "outsiders" or unique spirits.

35. Started reading Ghost World in college way back in the 1990s. I think it's great that this movie connects so well with the generation after mine, but this is really one of the definitive works of Generation X. On one hand, it's too bad it came out after Gen X had all gotten older and didn't really define the youth market--this movie would have been huge in 1993/1994. But on the other hand, it is good it came out when it did, because I can't imagine anyone but Thora and Scarlett playing Enid and Rebecca.
