Gotta be kidding

Jack White? Who's idea was that?

reply

Well he is sitting by a fire playing guitar.

I think the role was perfect for him. He had the look, and his musical style fit in wonderfully with the music of the era. His versions of 'Wayfaring Stranger' and 'Never Far Away' are gorgeous. I think he did some other era-appropriate tunes as well.

As far as his acting, I don't think the role was a stretch for him, and it was a smaller part anyway.

reply

I agree. Lazy casting.

reply

And since the soundtrack was first-rate, and Jack white is one of the biggest parts of it, he doesn't exactly stink up the screen!

reply

Hmmm ... I didnโ€™t even recognize him until after I read
comments about the movie. His appearance didnโ€™t hurt the film

reply

Pretty sure he was there because he was dating Renee Zellweger at the time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

reply

Really? Never pictured those two as a couple

reply

Yeah, it was an interesting pairing for sure but then I thought her dating Jim Carrey was even more bizarre. ๐Ÿ˜Š

reply

These days her plastic surgery is the most bizarre thing ever Zell's career

reply

Yeah, it's sad to see what she has done to herself. But Madonna is worse. She looks horrible. ๐Ÿ˜ซ

reply

Megan Fox has been looking pretty gnarly for quite awhile

reply

I know. They all look the same to me now. That's what I don't understand.. They must see how ridiculous others look after surgery so why would they do that to themselves? Or maybe they don't think it looks so ridiculous? I don't know but it's sad. Jamie Lee Curtis hasn't had work and look at how gorgeous she is. Helen Mirren, so many others that look wonderful as they age ๐Ÿ˜Š

reply

There are celebs who have masterful work done and look terrific. Far too many hook up with butchers + become addicted to have procedures

reply

You'll have to provide me with some examples. I can't really think of any other than Jennifer Grey. Now I thought she was lovely before her nose job and after. ๐Ÿ˜

reply

Christys Brinkley and Turlington, Heather Graham, Angela Basset, Jen Anniston, quite possibly Julianne Moore... The list could go on

reply

I saw Jennifer Aniston in a commercial with David Schwimmer the other night and couldn't help but notice she looked odd.

Those are good examples though. I guess I just don't understand how anyone could get addicted to that sort of thing enough to come out looking monstrous like so many of them do. But then, I don't know much about what happens after a botched surgery and how they can be fixed. Maybe the way they turn out is the fix? I don't know.

reply

No doubt plastic surgery alone isn't a cure all. Genes play a role here also... If one isn't wired to hold up well, there's only so much tech can do

reply

Very true. And not just physically, mentally as well.

reply

Better than Jack Black.
