Please please please Nicole, you cannot act.

Just finished watching Cold Mountain on DVD. I would've loved to movie to pieces if it weren't for the lovely Nicole Kidman's annoyingly bad performance.

Bless, I love her. She's pretty, she's elegant, she's a strong woman. But she doesn't know how to act (or how to sing, come to think of that). Yet she keeps turning up in all those wonderful movies, destroying each and every one of them. Honestly I can't think of any movie she's in that's good. (She's even gotten an Oscar(!), the reason for which is completely beyond me.)

Please Nicole darling, it's time for you to stop acting.

Cold Mountain, I gave it 5 stars, with much bitterness.

Hmm. The only reason I can think of for someone to say something that ignorant about Nicole's acting is that he or she has tried acting him or herself and found that they are the worst actor EVER????? I'll bet it's something like that. See "To Die For" and then try to convince me she can't act.

Well I certainly agree about CM being a glitch. I think she was great in The Others and To Die For. But that is because I don't think I would like her as a person perhaps. I certainly think she was well suited to those roles.

I don't think Nicole is THAT bad of an actress. Some of her performances are very good and some are less good. But overall she's ok.

Thank you, Kidman does blow in this movie as she does in nearly everything it has been my unfortunate experience to watch.

I thought she was pretty good . She delivered her performance with a lot of heart and sincerity. I wouldn't say she was as great as Meryl Streep but I think it's beyond ridiculous to say that she cannot act.

Me, too! I liked her a lot in this. I thought all the performances were genuine and likable.

The only unfortunate thing is that she had already started collagen-ing her lips IRL, so her looks had already started to change.

You must have a screw loose. Her performance was amazing and she's a great actor.

wtf u talking about, Kidman is one of the most talented of our time

I agree with you about Nicole in Cold Mountain. I've never read the book, well, I tried and it was a snooze. Anyway, I just thought that she was miscast in this. Her hair was a little too bleachy for someone in that time period. Maybe that's what the character's hair did look like in the book. There were other actresses that could have fit the bill a lot better. As far as her Oscar, the Academy were way off that year. It should have gone to Selma Hayek for Frida who, with the non nominated Alfred Molina, carried that movie. Nicole Kidman only had about 30 minutes in The Hours. Anyway could have played Virginia Woolf.
