Does anybody know why Debbie Harry (playing herself) was completely removed from the episode 24 (s5 e24)? She is not listed on W&G’s IMDb and W&G is not listed on her IMDb.

I have my suspicions that it was because there was a scene where Karen said that DH had sex with Karen’s virgin (and maybe underage?) stepson, which was played for comedy. DH was not in that scene and it could have been deleted without affecting the episode.

The DVD (and possibly streaming?) copies of the show use the syndicated edit, which was trimmed for time. DH's scene was trimmed, so the references to her being there had to go as well.
