This may seem obvious to you, it seemed obvious to me but a lot of people never seem to realize this even when they’ve seen both movies. Josie Geller is a character that poses as a high school student in order to get a story for a newspaper where she works as a journalist but ends up involved in the drama of the high school herself. Never Been Kissed came out a few years before Mean Girls and was a hit but didn’t quite have the staying power Mean Girls has so the joke will be lost on many people.share
