CGI is better than the recent films

The shots of Spider-Man swinging around the city look more real in this movie. In particular, The Amazing Spider-man 2 looks ridiculously fake.

I actually forgot those Amazing Spider-Man movies even existed. They have kind of faded away into obscurity.

It's hard to take seriously a superhero movie starring a cartoon cat.

reply

What are you talking about? Which Spider-Man movie has a cartoon cat?

reply

The Amazing Spider-Man movies feature a cat called Garfield, didn't ya know?

I refuse to believe a human being could have that cat name.

reply

You've never heard of the U.S president Andrew Garfield? He was the 20th president of the U.S and was assassinated only about a month after taking office.

And frankly I prefer the Amazing Spider-Man films to the Raimi films. If you hate them you have that right. But I like them. I would prefer you not make a big deal out of me liking them.

reply

I mean the actor, who I first saw in Doctor Who so that doesn't count for much.

Like them all you want, but I don't like most superhero movies, especially Spider-Man in all forms and the MCU. I've only ever liked Superman (Reeve) and Batman anyway, and "unusual" superheros like Kick-Ass, Deadpool and Shazam.

reply

Yes agreed.

reply

yeah, it was amazing. now they just crank something out on the computer.

Hmm, I feel kind of iffy about this. While it doesn't take over the movie like it does now, it was the start of superhero/action movies with cartoonish, in-your-face CGI that just doesn't seem necessary. I remember not being impressed at all with the scenes of Spider-Man swinging around the city.
