This movie strangely was very sad to me when it came to the sad ending. I ended up loving it but didnt like it's decision because as some have pointed out Lambert pretty much created Highlander with the Movie and its sequels. The tv series was just as spin off and because of that and how bad as he was. The movies definitely had quality and man's fight story most boys love. Lambert should be the one. Some have already pointed out that he won it in the first movie. Of course they probably should've never even faced off but since they did Lambert Had to take the the victory. It was so sad how he let Paul give it to him as almost if Lambert really wanted him to. To me The true Highlander WILL ALWAYS BE LAMBERT! THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you.I would have loved for Lambert to continue.Unfortunately his age was starting to show so him continuing the franchise just wasn't going to happen.The only logical way for the franchise to continue was for him to pass the torch.Not that it mattered much.The film that came after this pretty much killed the franchise.

Yea but strangely Paul someone mentioned is older and as odd as this seems, Paul seemed to earn it more based on his dedication to it. Lambert sure did a lot of Highlanders but Paul did entire long seasons. Lambert is also a megastar to Paul is mostly known for this series and low budget stuff. Plus Paul really did good in it. Anybody could've botched this but he really made it big. It was well known internationally and Ive heard a lot women appreciate his eye candy. When I saw Lambert lose it felt like Chris had decided Paul deserved it and Chris had all the other movies, fame, and money. Why would he cheat this guy out who really was making his movies more popular and enhancing the series? and probably would've extended it while Lambert had a lot other stuff in his plate.

Paul definitely earned.I was a big fan of the tv show.I don't blame him for killing the franchise.Highlander the source was just a terribly made movie.I wonder if it could have been saved with a bigger budget.

That's one thing I think Highlander deserved as it always overly out did its budget. It never got the high investment love as it should've and maybe eventually that caught up with them.

I read somewhere that it was Christopher Lambert's decision to pass on the torch.
