No, this film is nowhere near as great as the 1976 Brian De Palma classic, and for anyone to even try to compare the two lets people know they need their head checked by a professional doctor, no offense.
There was no need for this movie to be called "Carrie 2". Carrie DIED at the end of the movie "Carrie", the story was told, there was nothing left to tell.
If the people who made this trash had simply called it "The Rage" (as originally planned) and not stuck the "Carrie 2" part on the title last minute in hopes of boosting sells, it might have been given a better chance amongst the horror crowd and judged for the stand-alone film it should have been.
