Why does everyone hate Barney

I formtly agree with you on that Leo, I work in childcare and before that babysat my baby cousin and had to endure Barney with her. I really don't like Barney although it teaches you things, it seems to downplay everything. Seasme Street actually had a a wide variety of things and issues. I remember one episode where one of the characters I forgot who got like a call from someone being racist and they talked about it and how you should deal with things like that. I thought it was very educational and moving teaching a child how to deal with serious issues like that. Barney never addresses things like that from what I've seen.

IT'S A KIDS SHOW! IT'S SUPPOSE TO MAKE KIDS HAPPY! OH LIKE KIDS, THAT ARE 1 YEAR OLD, NEED TO SEE RACIAL DISCRIMINATION! DO THEY NEED TO SEE GUNS POINTED AT PEOPLE! DO THEY NEED TO SEE PEOPLE MURDERED! NO! I USE TO LOVE THIS SHOW, SO DON'T YOU DARE ACCUSE IT OF EVERYTHING! THE WORLD NEEDS MORE CARING AND LOVE AND BARNEY TEACHES THAT! HE MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD WHEN SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS! I WISH EVERYONE JUST LAY OFF ON THIS SHOW! IT'S A CUTE SHOW AND YOU KNOW WHAT, IT JUST SHOWS YOU THAT PEOPLE LIVE IN MISERY! PLUS, IF IT WAS SO BAD, WHY HAS IT BEEN ON FOR 20 YEARS (1987-2007)! THAT'S IMPRESSIVE! I CAN'T NAME A FEW SHOWS THAT CAN'T EVEN REACH 3 YEARS ON PBS KIDS! WHY DOES HE HAVE HIS OWN SPOT IN UNIVERSAL STUDIOS? HE BEEN THERE FOR 12 YEARS (1995-2007). THEY DON'T BOOT IT OUT BECAUSE IT ENTERTAINS CHILDREN. WHY HAS BARNEY HAVE 6 LIVE STAGE SHOWS? HE'S LOVED BY SO MANY CHILDREN THAT HE'S BEEN ABLE TO DO SO MUCH! THE SONGS JUST MAKE THE SHOW MORE FUN FOR KIDS. BUT THIS SHOW IS GREAT FOR KIDS AND ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT BARNEY SHOULD DIE SHOULD JUST DIE THEMSELF.

Sure not all people are nice, but I am not exactly sure that that is the reason why kids love the show. My niece is 1 and absolutely LOVES it..and it's because of the musical aspect of it.

Aside from that, why would anyone want to expose the negative side of the world to a child? They are going to figure that out ANYWAY... they shouldn't learn it through a television show. I would rather my kid learn to be nice and use their manners from a tv show, not how to be an ass.

Neither. Barney fans are not pedophiles. Trust me, I love Barney to death (and like Sonic the Hedeghog as well), but I hate pedos as much as everyone else. I think that's the Barney Bunch you're talking about. They actually hate Barney, FYI.

True, when I was younger I used to loveeee watching Barney (especially the when it first came out) ! But I just saw my little cousins watching it, and I was so surprised at how much the recent season just wasn't as good as the first several seasons.



And hey to all you Barney-haters, this show is for KIDS! for LITTLE kids, more like toddlers. And Barney's a great show, because it's mainly a happy show for kids to watch! So drop your pitchforks and torches, because you need to get a life!
