A Few Things That Crack Me Up About This Movie...

1. Despite the boy holding the camera being absolutely terrified, he manages to film throughout and catch everything...is it just me or if this was really happening, there would be nothing less important than the damn camera...

2. The mum manages to keep hold of her glass of wine despite everything going on around her...

3. When one of the sisters is giving the dead sister CPR, everyone else is completely unfazed and then the little girl shows her tremendous acting skills...ahem...

4. The Infrared light of course!

5. The fact that I just wasted an hour and a half on this pile of festuring dog turd...

6. The fact that there is a goddamn fan club on possibly the worst movie possible!

7. Some idiot is trying to sell this waste of space on DVD on eBay and expecting people to buy it!

I rest my case...

My sister and I saw this movie yesterday on TV, and then I looked for info about this movie and I have to add up some stuff:

8. When the guys kill the alien, the alien's height is about 3 feet. In the last scene, when the aliens enter the house, they're about the size of a normal human.

9. I just want to know how Tommy managed to keep his camera running (and how his brothers managed to keep their flashlights on) when every electric/electronic appliance was down... Oh! And how he found replacement batteries during the blackout and they worked!

8. Aliens could have very diffrent sizes. I mean you could say that's crazy but we have midgets in existance right now.

9. From the looks of it they knocked out the whole power grid. Since the flash lights and Camera are on a diffrent source of electricity, thye remain unaffected.

1. Well, if I was him I'd hold onto it too. That's 100% documented evidence towards the existance of aliens.

2. She's an alcoholic. Perhaps she's just real protective of her drinks?

I'll admit though, the one thing that confused me is that when the family didn't beleive them about the aliens, no one ever thought of showing the footage the camera recorded.

i found it funny that someone would go out to see whats going on "only for a minute" even though everyone else who did the same before them have not come back. hhmm, i better go and see with no weapons what 2 guys with shotguns couldnt fight off....

i didnt mind this film tho, entertained me for an hour

She's an alcoholic.

The problem is that in spite of having a glass of wine attached to her at all times, she never acts inebriated at all.

Actually they did. The footage just wasn't shown to the viewer because the camera couldn't have been recording while they looked at the footage. But when the movie returns, we see that everyone is more frightened after realizing that the aliens are real.

When he holds on to the camera when he is in the room with the alien he isnt holding it to his eye. hes holding it at his waste. I very much doubt if that happened you would drop anything. You would be stiff with fear.

Yeah I found it really dumb how when the alien is in the room with the kid (the guy with the camera) the alien manages to get the camera and record the kid's facial expression for us to see.. then leaves without doing anything to him but they come back and get him and his family later.. okay..

and! HILARIOUS! the black guy, Matthew.. '' i thought i was kissing you!'' LOL! might as well said 'her tounge tastes like yours!' LOl! but gotta hand it to him, he used the aliens as an excuse.. 'they are messing with us!' LOL!! and funny how he never returned.. probably left them cause they were a racist family.. and did anyone notice that his girlfriend never defended him when the father and the blond chick were telling him off? ''Your not even part of this family!" and his girl just stood there quiet.. wtf!?

I saw it when it aired and thought "hmmm lake county is only 30-40 miles from here strange we never heard of this lil incident." although we do have alot of UFO sightings up here. the pen light was a pretty cool effect, my cats get freaked out by those too

Just one thing...the father doesn't tell them off. The oldest brother does. The father is dead, although I thought this aspect made it scary. For example when the mother was talking to the dead father and everyone was freaked out.

bear with me a sec folks, that camera, due to it's clarity and such and considering when it was made (mid 90s) and also had a lamp on it mustve been a pretty heavy peice of equipment (a shoulder mounted one maybe) so, u turn round, see a freikin ALIEN standing behind u, you've got a large several kilo heavy blunt object on your sholuder or in your hand so what would you do?
I wont give you multiple choices but what i wont do is freeze record it for a few seconds and leave the room no i MIGHT freeze in fear but i wouldnt go for the door no i club the little ba5tard over the head over and over until he was down and i was up, THEN i would run out the door.

maybe kick him when he was down a couple of times...

you know...

1. There are lots of reasons to hold onto the camera - to prove it's not a hoax, to give proof they aren't killing the cattle - and most importantly, when that girl goes into a coma and eventually dies, had he got to a hospital in time if he had shown the footage of what had happened to her they might have some idea of what is wrong.

2. I have very strong suspicions, as stated in the film, that she was possessed. In fact, more strongly I believe the aliens somehow created the form of her dead husband, who instructed her everything would be alright. They then somehow fed off her emotions to find out more about the family.

3. They must have realised she would die anyway - could they really expect any of them to survive the night? Perhaps the aliens had caused some kind of trance, as they do at the end of the film.

4. What's wrong with the infa red light?!

5. Your loss mate, guess it's not for everyone.

6. Okay, I wouldn't make a fan club about it, but a good film, especially if you liked the Blair Witch Project.

7. I'll buy it!

Nah dude, let's look at things realistically. All this crazy s*** is goin on and you spot 'em getting into the house so you go in your room and whaddya know there's one right there! do you

A. keep recording
B. *beep* your pants and cry like a lil girl
C. start swinging and beating some midget martian ass
D. put on some eyeliner,hand the camera over to the "alien" and lay motionless on the floor

I harassed an alien the other day and yes they have that infrared light. Not cool at all... I almost got killed!

I noticed a couple of other things.

Like when they're running away from the UFO in the field, and the camera looks like it's running parallel to the ground. If the camera was running low to the ground, it would mean that the guy was running with his hands down... who runs like that? Otherwise... well, it does seem to be zoomed in, but it's just at the wrong angle.

And why does the alien freeze the kid, look into the camera, show the kid again, and then give him the camera back and disappear?
