Not sure if there's another thread but the snail story?
Any significance? Maybe went over my head

shareOnce you get it you'll have the streets figured out

Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!
I took it as being no matter how small and insignificant a slight may seem, the streets always remember.
Time wounds all heels.
The guy kicks the snail, the snail comes back a year later, and the guy says, “the F is your problem”
The guy who kicked the snail forgot, but the snail always remembered and worked over a year to get his way back to the guy. In the streets, you’ll do bad things to people and forget about whom your hurt, but the recipients never forget what you did to them. And they’ll go through great lengths to get back to you
Doesn't make sense. What's the explanation for the punchline? (The F's your problem)
shareIt wasn’t a joke with a punchline though. Hoyt laughed, but they mocked him for doing so (“if it’s not funny why you laughing”)
The F is your problem = the person who kicked the snail forgot. He kicked the snail and made himself an enemy. But whereas the snail diligently worked his way back for a year to get revenge, the guy who kicked the snail forgot. The streets is filled with bad deeds, and while you might forget the wrongs you did, the victims of your misdeeds never forget
No. Wait.
The fuck's your problem is said during the second encounter. This implies the man did not forget, he says it like he is surprised the snail insisted to come back, after the beating he took
He kicks the snail. A year later, the snail comes back, and he says “the f is your problem”
When he says, “the f is your problem,” he’s saying he doesn’t know what the snail’s issue is: he’s asking why the snail decides to come at him. What’s the snail’s problem? … after a year, the guy forgot that he kicked the snail while the snail never forgot
If he forgot, why not tell the snail the f your problem the first time he kicks it?
