What are confederated products?

Can someone explain this to me? There isn't even a Wikipedia page for confederated products.

Confederated Products is a fictional company included in all the films written screenwriter John August, including Charlies Angels, Go! and Big Fish. Think of it as a movie version of Amway.

That scene was so funny! I LOL'd. The guys were so apprehensive in Burke's house, a bit suspicious about him and his wife. And then, boom! It was all a sales pitch to sell Amway-like products! LOL!!

What I just noticed is that Burke looks and acts like David Miscavige. So maybe Confederated Products is also a front for Scientology!🤣

There were actually a slew of similar companies back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s like Confederated Products. I worked briefly for a printing company that made generic packaging for hand and body soups that were pushed by a similar company. The owner would order these "packets" that were designed for sellers to use in the field and the goal was to entice a customer with one sample but the get them to buy the whole box for $29.99 after convincing them that the retail price was over $100
