James Brolin or Jonathan Frakes?

Johnathan Frakes all the way. Not only was it his way of delivering, it was the way the stories and how they were shown to us were delivered, too.
When Brolin was there, the stories ended weird and without an explanation. When Frakes came, the stories were better and they at least explained why or why it happened at the end of each story. With Brolin it was just like a cliffhanger.

Ha, ha, ha! I love him so much. :3 I actually know him and James for other reasons, but Beyond Belief was my introduction to both, so I'll always think of them primarily as its hosts! Well, Jonathan is the BB host AND Commander Riker equally...I'm a big Trekker/Trekkie, and he's one of my favorite characters. Frakes is so adorable and awesome.
I imagine that his host role is also probably rather similar to his real personality...he actually is a funny, clever, cheeky, amusing type of guy. xD
In fact, Jonathan was one of the reasons I began watching Star Trek in the first place. I was only familiar with and a fan of him, Patrick Stewart (from a few of his other roles), and LeVar Burton (from the amazing "Reading Rainbow" and "Captain Planet") beforehand. Now I absolutely adore the entire ST cast and know a great deal about all of them. <3

Jonathan Frakes...for President! ;D Everybody, write in his name on your ballots!! (I mean, I seriously think all us Americans should band together and do something like that...somebody on whom we can all agree, somebody so absolutely cool they couldn't possibly do a bad job...!) And I'll just print out the "Frakes for Pres" signage from the show by pausing my DVD on his intro to "The Candidate" and print-screening...James Brolin or some fellow Star Trek cast member can be his running mate. Well, Patrick and Marina wouldn't be eligible, but Gates, Brent, LeVar, or Michael would be perfect. Or John de Lancie.

Jonathan. Of course with only season 1 on DVD, I have no choice but to watch James Brolin.

I liked Jonathon Frakes. I could definitely do without Mr. Barbara Streisand. He was boring. Jonathon Frakes was awesome.

shareI'm going to go to the Star Trek convention in Boston this year...if I get a chance while Jonathan signs something of mine or takes a photo with me, I'd love to let him know how much I appreciate his doing such an awesome job of hosting one of the greatest shows ever, which was the main catalyst for my watching another of the greatest shows ever...and also to ask him to say one more time for me, "...for Beyond Belief...I'm Jonathan Frakes." With that delightfully cheeky little grin. God. That'd make my year. x3

James Brolin, in my opinion, sucked. Nothing about him appeals to me. I couldn't stand his squinty eyed grin. He just seemed like it was just a job and he was just going to do the bare minimum and didn't try to draw viewers in.
I liked both just fine, but if I had to pick I'd say Frakes simply because I'm also a fan of Next Gen and Gargoyles.
I really miss this show. Wish they'd bring it back.
Jonathan Frakes, obviously. Although, I liked James Brolin too. He was good in a very simple way. He has a bit of a meh personality but he added some cheekiness to the stories. Very handsome man too...
