I love math and saw this movie hoping for the best. Unfortunately, this movie's plot is very unrealistic for the mathematical thinker.

shareYou sound like a quitter, like that old man character... If you are truly a math person, you should'v went to the ends of the earth to have figured out all the theories, and be thusly enlightened. Just because you gave up, don't slam the movie for it.
shareDA seems like a pretty detail-oriented director to me, so I have a hard time believing that all of the issues with the mathematics in this movie were just oversights. Black Swan had a lot of really minute details hidden throughout, especially nina's face hidden in scenes like the club where you wouldnt notice it without stepping through frames or pausing. If he is willing to spend time on that, I have a hard time believing that he was just too lazy to look up the real digits of pi for the scene at the very start.
