Completely disagree. It's an unknown masterpiece. THIS is how you make a thriller. It is tough to watch, even painful at times - but in a good way. It captures the tension perfectly and when Max is in pain, we feel that pain. The black and white (aside from being cheaper to film in) adds to the atmosphere. The imagery is genius, the ambiguous ending is great, and it is visually stunning. Some people may not like it, and that's fine, I'm simply stating how I feel. I'd encourage people to watch it. Let them decide if they like it or not.

When people watch a movie, they usually want to kick back and relax. This movie doesn't let you. It's downright painful to watch at times. I can see why you don't like it. A lot of people hate Eraserhaed or love it. Same sort of movie here. Artsy films that exudes emotion aren't for everybody.

It's B&W because that's what they could afford and look okay @ 16mm. It's a very low budget film and to me an indie masterpiece.

I see from you profile that you just like to troll on excellent films, brazil, children of men etc so you probably don't care for discussion anyway.
