Is this suitable for a 12 year old who has seen...

Team America, South Park, There is Something about Mary, Scream and The Shining.

I don't know if I'd call it suitable, that sort of depends on the kid, but I watched it when I was 9, and I turned out alright. Plus, there are a lot of movies worse and more scarring than Idle Hands, and it is a comedy, so you can't take it too seriously.

Oh come on, the movies that he mentioned are ok for a 12 year old.

a 12 year old seeing this movie? sure why not if the kid wants too.

I saw predator when i was like 6 and i LOVED it, it's one of my all time favorites and still is to this day... some movies are more effective in a good way when seen a young age.

But i remember nightmare on elm street gave me loads of nightmares... you see i had a habit of raiding my dads vhs collection.

You're a load in my pants Al - Officer Dan

Yes. I watched this when i was 13 in jr. high, and it really is an amazing film with mature elements. But if you're twelve, it'll be a great experience, especially with friends. It's like an extended, hardcore Goosebumps episode.
