Wasn't there another movie very similiar to this?

I watched the last 3/4 of the movie today, so maybe its just something that happened earlier in the movie, but I recall a very similiar movie where there was a radio tower or something that was controlling everyone and it got destroyed in the end.

What movie was that? And wasn't the premise just about the same?

I think your thinking of Return of the Living Dead 2, if I can recall...

reply

That was They Live.

Yeh I remember that movie and I believe it was TV movie. But I liked Disturbing behaviour because of the music and it came out when I was in year 7 so yeh lol.

It also reminds me of The Faculty, but that was a teen spin on Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Disturbing Behaviour is OK, but it never creates the same atmosphere of paranoia The Faculty did so well.
Nick Stahl though is a revelation, and completely different from his disappointing interpretation of John Connor in T3.

I don't think T3 was his fault. I think he did alright.

But yes, it felt similar to The Faculty, but I liked Faculty far more. One of my favorite movies. Disturbing Behavior needs a directors cut edition so I can see all the "good parts" that got cut out and changed. The ending was definitely a let down and I was bothered by the mumbling/cheezy dialogue. Would love to see it with subtitles as well as almost every UV said was "blah blah bloo freaks blah blah north Dakota... blah" I'm sure it would or could have been funny if I could hear him clearly.

This movie is where I actually started liking him, too bad he's gone off the grid since.

That was my impression as well, The Stepford Wives but with teens instead of wives.

TV movie Stepford children with Tammy Lauren also came to mind.

The movie you're thinking of is called Zombie High and it starred Virginia Madsen. The music you referred to that controlled everybody was muzak. I saw Disturbing Behavior first and after purchasing Zombie High off ebay a couple years back, I realized that they completely ripped off their idea. But rather decently, I might add.

Stepford wives, both versions, are the movies this reminded me of.

The eye scene reminded me of Clockwork Orange, with the subliminal mind control.

I seem to recall The Colony, starring John Ritter, as having much the same plot.

There is also a movie called 'Perfect Little Angels'. Almost exactly the same story.

They Live was not a TV movie.

In the 2002 Twilight Zone series there is an episode called evergreen on youtube. All the kids move to this town, with their families, if they get in trouble etc. But they are all controlled into behaving themselves... etc. It's cool.

I think that you are actually thinking of Perfect Little Angels, if its the one with the radio tower on the high hill.
