I was a kid when this came out. Being a big hockey fan and me playing hockey from a young age, this has been a movie I watch all the time since I was a kid.
I just looked up and saw it only made 8 mil at the box office. What happened? Was it marketed poorly? What went wrong? The movie is good enough to make more than 8m.
I remember not wanting to watch it because it was about hockey (not a fan) and the trailer sucked. But I'm glad I did, it's a great movie.

This is a great movie, I'm surprised it didn't do well after Austin Powers was such a big hit, you'd think people would have been all over a new Jay Roach film after that, and with such a good cast to draw people in too. Oh well, their loss!
I missed seeing it in the theatres because I was in university and totally broke at the time, but I went out of my way to rent it a few years later and loved it. It's such an all around impressive movie, with a good story and interesting characters and such a beautiful setting that was magnificently shot. I think it's Jay Roach's best movie, even better than Trumbo, you can tell he put everything into making this film.
