Does anybody else on here
Look on Scream 1, 2, and 3 as a trilogy (as I'm sure it was meant to be) and ignore what came after? I haven't seen 5, but I wasn't over impressed with 4.

shareYes, am a fan of 1, 2, and 3. Disappointed in 4, and 5 didn't look anymore promising than the former and I don't plan on seeing it.
sharedefinitely.
shareThe first three feel more like a collective. A proper trilogy.
4 always felt like a modern (at the time) attempt at a comeback. 5 feels like a modern requel.
It didn't help that 4 came out 11 years after 3 and 5 came 11 years after 4. Those decade long gaps just created too much seperation.
4 & 5 just don't have the same vibe, feeling & aesthetic. Too 2010s and 2020s repsectively.
Scream is synonymous with the mid-to-late 90s. The first three have that time period on lock.
I ignore 3 as well, it's just stupid and ridiculous.
