Tim Burton's worst movie without a doubt!
What was he thinking when he made this piece of crap?

shareWell people don't go out of their way to make bad movies.
Apes had so many issues, for a start it had a release date without a script. Fox kept sending writers on set to rewrite a scene, or replace one and stuff like that, they were trying to cut the budget and they were making most of it up on the spot, as a result Tim walked off set of a few days. His father also died during filming which made things worse.
it's shocking we got a film in the first place, and while it's a bit rubbish and it's Tims worse i agree, there were many highlights.
All I remember is that terrible ending that blew away any highlight it could have had. It's been a while since Mr. Burton gave us a good movie: even his Miss Peregrine was meh...
shareHe was thinking someone other than you would like it. I have that on good authority. You can now rest easy...
shareI know exactly what he was thinking:
"The studios won't allow me to shoot my pet projects unless I shoot a couple of generic blockbusters I couldn't care less about. Planet of the Apes is one of them, and I'll put as little effort as necessary to shoot it so I can hurry up and make my more personal films."
It's a shame because the ape makeup looked great. This movie does have its merits, but the script sucks.
