This is one of my favorite movies, if not my favorite movie, and I always cry at so many different parts, and I'm not a big cryer, This movie is very uplifting, and it's so relatable

reply

Oh, definitely.

I cried the first time I watched it and the film never fails to at least choke me up. The movie is just so beautifully done.

reply

also with that theme from mark isham (october sky), it definitely toches you deep in the loins, it makes you feel so sad.

I love this film, I must have seen it 5 or 6 times but don't actually own it! It's just so inspiration and it motivates me to want to do something new and different. I love the father/son relationship throughout the film. I cried about 10 times, always do!

reply

I definitely cried the first time I watched it, and maybe the second.
Very moving.

reply

Nevermind, I watched it again today.
Cried like a baby.

I don't know what you get when you take secular altruism to its logical conclusion. What Oscar Schindler did was take Christianity to its logical conclusion.

Yeah, I'm not one to cry in many movies, But i cried like twice or three times in this one, Best movie I've watched for a long time

I felt this movie deeply because I experienced something very similar. My math teacher was a supportive friend, my dad was almost absent from my life and I just craved for a telescope I saw on a wal-mart catalogue. I think with the enough time and support, I would be at NASA, where I dreamt each night to be.

Well Im married now and expecting my first son. Life is good but now I feel that flame again, definitley I'm going to get my telescope now. The best I can afford.

i loved this movie i cried in so many parts well acutally trying so hard not to let me spill out completly but failing, unfortunaly i didn't see the ending since i had to go to the counsling office which i was not happy about

reply

You really have to see the end of the movie. It is sooo good! I cry every time I see the teacher in the bed as she watches the rocket go up...

"blessed are the forgettful for they get the better even of their blunders"

reply

reply

I just watched it, and yes, I cried too. I've seen it a bunch of times and I still cry. I love the story. It's so inspiring and has a beautiful message.

You're a f-cking douche.

reply

Not so much when the final rocket is launched, with his dad. But the ending of the movie, the credits, with the video did it for me for some oddball reason.

I cried.

'Get your business out of my business'

I did not cry, but only because I am not a crier. I can definately see people crying, though. The ending gets me every time. I get chills up and down my spine that last for the last 20 minutes or so. What a great film. I have yet to meet anyone who does not like this movie. It's a classic.

my dad passed away on the day i first saw this film. whenever i see the part where his dad launches the rocket into the sky, it reminds me that my dad will never realise my accomplishments...

reply

Loved this movie - I cried for the final fifteen minutes or so, and especially hard when they showed the real footage of the principals over the credits.

reply

I never cried during this movie, but I did come everywhere.

reply

I had a lump in my throat when the film ends. I nearly came to tears in many of the scenes , especially when he has to sacrifice and go to the mines, and also in the end when his father comes....
