Repetitive clap-trap
The fact that it's critically acclaimed is beyond me.
shareAgreed!
shareIt is beyond you it seems. There are many qualities to this fine film that many miss.
shareJust finished watching it for the first time in 2025, I think it might be somewhat of a pioneer for those types of fate, destiny, butterfly-effect type of movies, but it wasn't anything mind-blowing by nowadays standards. Some movies you'd probably rate higher if you'd seen it on release, and I think this is definitely one of them.
It's definitely more of the artsy-fartsy kinda movie, which, by most, are typically loved or hated. I used to really not like artsy-fartsy movies, but I can appreciate them more-so nowadays.
Slightly above average, 6/10.

shareI'm not the one to judge how much acclaim it merits.
But I found it a fun exercise in portraying just how different life can turn out with even the simplest adjustments (in this case time -- by only seconds at that!).
I don't claim to understand any psychological or philosophical underpinnings (if there are any) of this film. And I don't claim to understand how the fates of those other than the main protagonist are affected by those slight adjustments in her timeline, but I did find it a fun romp.
