Their threatening nature came from their mob connections and not their personal ability to kick someone's ass.
sharemmmm, perhaps alleged. but i'd call that an intellectual interpretation, as over against a visceral response.
they just weren't cast correctly sorry. I'm calling it here and now. still a great movie, and i love it and rewatch it often, but those two guys being cast in those roles is a weak link for the film.
sometimes what we KNOW to be true does not resonate viscerally. maybe it does for you, hence your response, but i'd say as one casting a film this was a misfire, to use those actors.
