Lauren Ambrose (as Denise) was hot!
I'm not sure if I am the only one who found her a hot girl more than Jennifer Love Hewitt.
There's something wrong with Esther.

Yes!! She was very hot in this movie!
shareI think Ambrose exudes more sexiness than Love Hewitt, but I think Love Hewitt is more conventionally attractive.
shareI think she was gorgeous in this .
shareYeah, she was, but I'm pretty sure she was a lesbian. I think she secretly wanted Amanda.
shareI got Jenna Elfman over both.

Strangely, to me Elfman looked 40 in this, and a rough 40 to boot. It wasn't until I saw her in later work that I thought she was attractive and much younger. Maybe they made her up to look this way.
Perhaps. I loved her in EdTV and Keeping the Faith.
shareThe time I felt Jenna Elfman the most attractive was when she was wearing her proper wedding dress (swinging on a tree-swing?) on "Dharma & Greg" haha.
Fun show before the last season of "Dharma-Drama-Greg".
Denise was practically the Betty to Amanda's Veronica.

Why didn't the filmmakers have it so that Denise ended up with Preston at the end instead of Preston actually landing Amanda? Preston clearly had better chemistry with Denise. I recall that Gene Siskel in his review complained about the filmmakers not having Preston ultimately realize that he was truly in love with Denise the whole time.

Actually, either would have worked. They would have had to portray Amanda as a little more unattainable though, or perhaps a bit more flighty so she would seem incompatible with Preston.
In Pretty In Pink for instance, I thought Andie ending up with Duckie would have been a better ending than her ending up with Blaine.
