Just replying to this before reading the comments to get my thoughts out there. Watched the movie for the first time last night and really started to hate her character. You understood her coldness and need for discreetness in the beginning but she never warmed up.
What bothered me the most was the ending. Anna treated him terribly. the hot and cold of their first few interactions. The not telling him about her boyfriend in the hotel room. Not saying she knew he would be there but she was kissing him and inviting him to her room and NEVER mentioned a boyfriend. The way she unfairly acted when the media showed up when all Grant did was care for her and protect her. And the way she spoke about him on set to the other actor. There were other ways to say 'he's just a friend' without being so cruel. Grant had every right to reject her when she came begging for him to 'take her back.' what exactly did she expect? In fact, I almost wished that's where the movie ended because it was a very brave independent thing to do. If the roles were switched and this was a woman in Grant's shoes (I'm a woman BTW), would people be routing for her to go after him? And that's where I hate the ending because Grant was 100000% in the right so to switch the scenario so now HE was the one who had to chase and apologize to HER really grinded my gears. It really ruined the movie for me. I know it was supposed to be sweet and charming and showing how love can make you do crazy things....but it should have been HER chasing him; HE was the catch not her. ah well; it was a cute movie otherwise.
