Why 6.4 ?
That's *beep*
shareIt deserves 10.0!
shareI'd say it's more like a 7.5 or something. It was very cute, and I liked it alot. Not the best comedy out there though. I hated the parts in the Malt Shop and the weird cult thing.
shareI'd give it an 8.0
sharei'd give 8.5
-Well, well. Look who came crawling back.
-Have you seen my wheelchair?
I'd also give it an 8.0. It's got flaws for sure, but it's still one of the most original and entertaining romantic comedies I've ever seen. Alicia Silverstone could have been better, but Brendan Fraser and Chris Walken were right on the money.
shareI personally love this movie. Its one of my favorite movies of time. Whenever its on the t.v. I drop everything and watch it. Definitely deserves more than a 6.4. At least a 9, at least.
shareI loved those parts because of the way the weird guy changed with each decade.
shareAgreed, it's a brilliant film.
shareI would say that Alicia (especially her LIPS,mmmmmm) deserved at least an 11.
shareAnyone that would give this movie more than a 7/10 is probably under the age of 18 and hasn`t seen very many films. BFTP is a very "cute" film but I don`t think it deserves anything more than a 7 and that would be VERY generous! I think the current IMDB rating of 6.4 is about right. 6.4 is not a bad rating, no, 6.4 is actually pretty good.
Personally, I would give this film about a 6.9/10.
I really liked it for its entertainment value. Its one of those feel good movies thats just a fun to watch. And I think Brendan and Alicia had a lot of chemistry in this movie. Especially in the last scene when they kiss. It just brings tears to your eyes. LOL!

I'd certainly give it at least a 7, possibly 7.5
The scene where Brendan is dancing in the club with those two girls, utter brilliance. Loved it
Christopher Walken, wacky as ever, but again, fantastic.
I do not understand the low rating either - This is one of my all time favorite movies. For one thing it shows how far down hill we have gone since the 1960's in the way kids are raised. Manners, treating parents and every one with respect dressing neatly etc. I may be an old fogy but I do think some things were so much better back then.
sharethis movie is pretty much as good as you can get in a feel good romantic comedy fantasy and EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN IT WAS GREAT. Wonderful movie - if you didn't like it you're an *beep* Period. And you have no soul. Walken and Spacek were just as good here as anything they've ever been in, dave foley was great as always and the two leads we're perfect.
You Suck...now deal with it.
This is the best Romantic Comedy I've ever seen in a long time. It has a great tone that keeps up with the plot, and I thought everyone played their parts in the movie perfectly. I enjoyed Adam and Eve (hence the names) chemistry. Brendan Fraser did a great job with his character making you believe he lived in a fallout shelter since the sixties. You can actually learn something from how society has changed since then and now.
Yes the movie isn't all perfect, but most or some people sadly enjoy more of the cliched Rom-coms that are in theaters nowadays. Well I would say, if you don't like this movie or hate it, then you can't appreciate a classic.
In my opinion, this movie would be a great rental for a Friday or Saturday night. All in all, it's a good time and totally worth watching.
8/10
