Why the low rating?

the opening credits didn't start until 10 minutes in, after a slow beginning, and didn't exactly put you in the mood to keep watching, usually in that setting the part before the credits is up beat, but as the names started to roll i thought it was the name of the action figure in sight. there was one line in the movie that had me confused, when the daddy says "i think it's honest of you to tell the truth", that line doesn't make sense to me, but english is not my native language, to me it sounds like "i think it's nice of you to be nice", then they start asking him if he takes drugs, and the kid doesn't look to be more than 9, also fun part how the girl he wanted to date appeared much older than him, or should i say bigger, since they are at the age where height differs. i checked this out since i realised it was made by the same person who did one of the preferable segments in "twilight zone the movie" (1983), and expected something similar, but this was simply a kids movie, you wouldn't think so considering the cast, and the running time, would be over 2 hours with commercials. it had some unusual sights though, with great voice on the action figures, in the credits notice what an extraordinary cast is giving voices to the action figures. look for the contrast of behaviour at the support centre between the lady taking on his error and the co workers behind her, when she thought it was a female was a good joke.
