Pushing the car in front of the train

I love this movie, but I'm watching it and it occurred to me that it seemed to be planned to push the dirty politician in front of the train to get rid of him. However, that means that have to know that he would be driving at just the right time to stop just before the train came, and also be the car in front. That is stretching luck pretty far.

the movies are all about coincidental luck. possibly because of rigg’s deceased wife working things from heaven.

Great sequel idea. Lethal Weapon 5: Torched by an Angel.

I think you mean "touched by an angel"

reply

No, Torched. Wordplay, my man

I'm glad someone appreciated it,lol.

Some people just don't understand the charm of 80s/90s action catchphrases

reply

nope, I didn't.

The guy was just counting his money, so he must have just got paid of. So most likely they know the area and also controlled the timing, so they could kill him off. He could have also killed of any other way, this was just a relative save way. The killing attempt of Riggs was just making it look like their chosen method of killing.

But no way can these guys control the train schedule, nor predict when he'd be at the railroad intersection. I suppose they could have just jumped on the opportunity, but what was the alternative plan?

reply

As said, they can ordered him to be killed. As he was counting money (sorry, haven't watched the movie in years, just went through the scenes in my archive), I assume he was corrupt and got paid by them? So they could have ordered him to a certain time, when they know the street is busy. But anyway, he had been otherwise likely ended in the water or so.

Its from the same school of ludicrous plans at Walter whites "Lets build a remote control machine gun in the trunk of my car and hope it ends up aimed at the bad guys" plan.
