Terk is a girl?

I watched this movie so much as a child, and now I realize he is actually a she?

I'm not the only one who thought this right?

Not only that but a Rosie O'Donnell gorilla. I think that out-of-place friendship was a very bad idea. In this environment - like with Bambi or The Lion King, boys hang out with boys and females hang with females, period. Terk could've been what Thumper was for Bambi, a legendary sidekick. But instead, we're left feeling weirded out.

Where have you been of course Terk is a female, otherwise explain it to me if Trek is a male then why did Rosie Donnell both voice the younger and the adult Terk, being one of the few actors or actresses that have both voiced the young and adult character if they are seen both as a child and adult like Simba, and Nala.

Lol I didn't know either

There's only one real way I ever realized she was a girl and that was at the beginning of the movie after she meets baby Tarzan, her mom picks her up saying "alright little lady, time for bed."

Again it would make more since of Terk being a girl since she was voiced by Rosie O'Donell

reply

I didn't know who did the voice and my only clues were referring to her as "little lady" and "missy," otherwise I would have assumed boy.

I know the other replies here are years old (and this isn't aimed at you), but I don't get the logic in these posts.

"Rosie Donnell voices Terk of course she's female". People don't always look at or pay attention to the casting. So why is everyone here saying others are ignorant for not knowing Terk is female?

Not to mention that female voice actresses don't *always* voice female characters anyway. Just like male voice actors don't always voice male characters either. I mean, heck Granny Goodness was voiced by Ed Asner in a lot of media, and even Jimmy Neutron has always been voiced by a female.

Bart Simpson is voiced by a female, also Casper the Friendly Ghost and Davey in Davey and Goliath.
