Mel Gibson is trying to do it Carlito's way but he is failing

The gangsters are not convincing and himself does not pass for a bad guy, overall not a very bad movie 6/10

I don't think so. For me it was a slippery remake of "Point Blank."

I like Mel Gibson's characters, but he's no Lee Marvin.

It's pretty poor. Mel Gibson's good at playing vulnerable, emotionally damaged tough guys like Mad Max or Riggs in the Lethal Weapon films but he can't pull off a menacing tough guy. He's just not convincing.
