Why doesn't she have a cameo as mandated in remakes like this?
I kinda thought she would how up as camp counselor or something, Vicky has one.
Mhmm, it would have been nice to see a cameo from her. She could have been in the hotel scene, or maybe in the airport earlier on. Just her presence would have been cool!

Maybe she didn't want to do it. She did the sequels for TV and decided that was enough. Maureen O'Hara didn't appear either, although she was retired. Brian Keith had died the year before and they didn't dedicate the film to him. As to Joanna Barnes, she might be playing her Vicky character, or it is just an in-joke that that is her name. It might not be the same *beep* character from the original.
