Why did they cast whats her face Catherin Zeta Jones, rather than Salma Hayek?

Elena is supposed to be Spanish and Catherine Zeta Jones is olive skinned and fits the character's looks. Salma Hayek is brown, not olive skinned and looks mexican.

lol Seriously? Salma Hayek is the one from the Mediterranean. Her father is Lebanese, her mother is Spanish. CZJ is Welsh. They both can pass for Spanish. Mediterraneans don't all come in one skin tone.

Salma Hayek is beautiful with a great body but if we're talking about face alone, CZJ in her prime looked like a goddess. If you ever read those old folktales or legends of ethereal wood nymphs, that's Jones. Jones has the face of an aristocrat, an elvish princess, Hayek looks more earthy.
