How could anyone like this better than Snatch?

I just don't get it. This movie is crap compared to Snatch. Yes, Snatch follows the same formula, but it improves upon it greatly. Snatch has better characters, a better cast, a more rocking soundtrack, better jokes, it's not as boring as Lock Stock is, and it's more stylishly directed giving it more pizzazz.

So, that being said, how the Hell could anyone like this better than Snatch?

quite easily, thanks for asking.

Snatch is one of my favorite movies of all time. Lock Stock is okay. Not really all that great.

How could any straight guy like anything better than Snatch... But then again, I'm not talking about the movie. :)

I agree with the OP people. It's mostly a style thing. But it's a matter of taste - neither is a bad film at all. Snatch is more my style.

I agree, buddy, I did enjoy Lock Stock but I liked Snatch a bit more, both are very good though. RocknRolla was awesome too.

I like it better than Snatch, because it's so crappy and bumbling. The story line coincides exactly with the atmosphere of the film. A bunch of idiots trying to do something big. It works on so many levels!

I guess it depends which one you saw first.

I saw Lock Stock first, and I enjoyed Snatch, but Lock Stock, in my opinion, is superior.

I like the team better. The cast is more unknown, so you don't have as much expectations. Plus the four protagonists make a cool gang of friends.

The language is funnier. And I prefer cards to boxing.

Plus, some speeches in Snatch are overdone (The Nemesis, The balls and the prick).

Still when it's well done, they are great movies. Rock N Rolla wasn't bad either, but it dragged for too long.

Snatch was made with a broader audience in mind. Lock, Stock was more inspired and informal in the writing department, that's why I prefer it. I also like the story itself, as well as some of the very impressive faces (Lenny McLean!).

But I also agree with people who say it's a matter of what you watched first.

I guess I'm bucking the trend, then, because I saw Snatch first, but like Lock Stock better. But it's just a matter of degrees, with me; 9.5 vs 10 or thereabouts. I love both films, but like this one just a bit more.

I like both films too but the plot in Lock Stock was SO unconventional and complex with characters that belong in their own films that it has the edge against Snatch.
