Maria Pitillo was sexy in this and -wow 2014 film liiks like crap
in comparision with this
share2014 film looked fine. Better in fact, plus told a much better story. 1998 'Zilla' was crap.
shareno 2014 incredible boring, looked like crap (shame for 2014) and godzills has 3 minute screentime (for good reasonbecause graphics is crap)
shareNo different than the 1954 classic. It was fine then, and it was fine now. The EIGHT minutes (not three, where'd you get that) of screen time were used to good effect.
Jaws (an undeniable creature feature CLASSIC!) was only on screen for about 4 minutes. That movie was absolutely incredible. A masterpiece. Sometimes less is more. In the 2014 Godzilla, that applied, and it worked. Ever notice that the Godzilla films where Godzilla is shown a lot more (e.g. Godzilla vs. Gigan), are oftentimes the ones that SUCK! Ever notice that the ones to feature him sparsely (Gojira, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Return of Godzilla (1984)) are oftentimes the BEST ones. Figure this out.
PS - You need only respond once. I heard you the first time. Please calm down.
The 1954 movie was the first and, perhaps aside from Cloverfield, the only Kaiju horror film. It is in no way comparable to the 2014 film. This bunch of films are all in the style of the '60s-70s and all the later Godzillas aside from Shin and I've come to like them on that basis.

shareShe did have this Teri Polo thing going on. Perhaps if this was a bigger hit, she could had been in Meet the Parents.

Godzilla happen to it.share
Pitillo’s career was always sketchy as she was never in films that became blockbusters; nor did she bring in customers to see her efforts. By the time that Godzilla came along, it seemed likely that she would have a minor television career and nothing more. When she she was cast in Godzilla, it represent the biggest break of her career.
Unfortunately for Pitillo, the film underperformed and was savaged by critics. Although Pitillo’s role wasn’t that bad (see below) she was blamed by many for the film’s poor quality and it seems to have damaged her career. Had the film been a hit, it’s probable that Pitillo (who was 31/32 at the time) might have been able to salvage a minor feature film career. It didn’t, and she wasn’t able to.
Pitillo apparently retired from acting and now runs a small family business.
Agreed. 90s movies were better because they didnt pretend to be serious. Modern movies are not better, they just have a darker tone that makes them look more artistic, but they are not. And visually this one is better.
