There were some really interesting movies that were really against the norm in the 90s like this, Trainspotting, Dead Man, U Turn, and Naked Lunch.
I'd say I liked Trainspotting the most then Dead Man, Naked Lunch, Fear and Loathing, U Turn.

I've not seen all of those but I think out of the ones I have seen

Trainspotting
Fear and Loathing
Dead Man

I think, as a Brit, Trainspotting just seems more familiar.

Fear and Loathing is one of my all time favourite movies. 10/10.

Trainspotting is great too. I don't really like the other ones you listed.
