Why does Fox keep screwing up its Marvel properties?

I'm fed up with reading people argue that the X-Men are in any remote way superior to the Marvel Studios films. If the useless Wolverine spinoffs and X-Men:The Last Stand weren't indicative enough the shoddy way Fox treated Daredevil/Elektra and still treats The Fantastic Four is testament to the fact that they don't care about these characters and getting them done right. They're simply interested in retaining a potential cash cow at all costs and then experimenting with hacks/untested filmmakers and allowing them to do what they like either the projects by casting eminently unsuitable, flavour-of-the-month/Fox contract actors and going for a totally jarring dark or utterly glib tone that ill-suits the property in question.

Until the rights for The Fantastic Four and the X-Men turn to Marvel Studios, or anyone else who knows what the heck they're doing I refuse to pay to see any of these films, and anyone who's a fan of these characters should feel the same way.

I mean, Tim Story and Josh Trask? What the heck? A hack and a neophyte.

I haven't seen Chronicle but most comic book movies have been directed by people who made two films or fewer.

The Singer films have better reception than over half of the MCU films. The bad X-films happened because of Thomas Rothman.

Well for one Fox don’t get the characters, the only good thing about their films were the cast. The first Fox iteration were cast well: Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards, Jessica Alba as Sue Storm, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm and Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Doctor Doom wasn’t cast well. Same with the X-Men, their films are mediocre but the cast is good notably Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian Mckellen as Magneto (and Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy as their younger versions).

Another problem is they used Doctor Doom too early, and the result was them downgrading him to be an average villain rather than a big threat. They had other villains like Mole Man, Impossible Man, Namor and the Skrulls, they should’ve built up to him for at least the second film because Galactus and Annihilus will be better big villains but still Doctor Doom shouldn’t be downgraded like that.

Galactus. Why was he a frickin cloud? Sure I get that they didn’t have the budget but come on they could’ve done better than that. If they couldn’t do him right then they shouldn’t have included him, it’s like SONY forcing Venom into Spider-Man 3 they didn’t do him properly and he wasn’t as menacing as he is in the comics he looked like someone wearing a Halloween costume and he had a gay ass voice.

Another problem with Doom. They used him too much even in two films. In the second film he was reduced even more to a pain in the ass for the F4 rather than a villain.

Films are mediocre? The first two singer films; First Class; DOFP; and Logan were acclaimed. Really imo only two of the films count as legit awful.
