It really is. Pretty much every scene has a christmas tree with those same multicoloured bulbs, I want to decorate a tree in the EWS style.

shareI've been poking around and reading up on Saturnalia and what occurred during the Roman festival to glean if there were any connection points with this film.
All a quick search yielded was that the "Romans spent Saturnalia gambling, singing, playing music, feasting, socializing and giving each other gifts."
Oh, and a pig was sacrificed.
