Remember when there being a black president was the most ridiculous thing about this movie?

Because there had never been one. I remember people in the theaters laughing at the trailer when they saw he was going to play the president.

No. None of us made a big deal about it, and we loved Morgan Freeman in the role. In fact, for some of us, this was our first memory of seeing him on the big screen.

Outbreak was my first time seeing him on the big screen. Deep Impact was the first time I seen him at the drive in.

I technically "saw" Morgan Freeman before Deep Impact but I was really young at the time and didn't realize it until later viewings; he played Azim in the movie Robing Hood: Prince of Thieves and did a brilliant job of it. My brother was a huge fan of that movie when we were kids :)
