Antz was better

Check it out sometime.

reply

Yeah Antz is great too.

reply

The only thing I liked about Antz is that the ants had six legs. Other than that it is a very lackluster film in every way. It was never exciting, rarely funny, and Oh wow Woody Allen playing...Woody Allen...as an ant...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Sorry if I seem rude, I just hate Antz.

reply

Yeah thats okay, to each his/her own.

reply

I disagree

Smell that sir, an evil smell

reply

What the hell have you been smokin'?

"A Bug's Life" was not only waaaayyyyyy better the "Antz", It's my favorite Pixar film.

reply

I cant remember laughing once during Antz

Boys from the Dwarf

reply

yeah seriously...Antz totally blew. we got a copy of it from a little girl, whom got it from another kid...just keeps goin' down the line 'cause it's so uninteresting...

reply

i just like antz because gene hackman did one of the voices, he oughtta do one for a pixar movie sometime.

I think both are good, I felt Antz was a bit more "cheesy", although I found the story a bit more interesting/entertaining.
I loved Stallone's character in Antz :)
I still ponder as to why in the world the producers at Dreamworks & Pixar decided to release these movies in competition to one another.
Seemed a bit like a rat-race to me, I wonder if it was just a coincidence or somewhat intentionate.

Both are definitely worth watching

reply

to me, and this is just me, but i find the only interesting thing about animated films is interesting actors playing the voice, but thats probably because i've seen too many animated films and they all seem the same to me.

reply

You dont like cinema.

reply

the reason both films were in competition is that a couple of years before release, some of the main guys that became dreamworks animation got a tour of pixar studios, which at the time was covered in Bugs life concept art. they flat out stole the idea and botched Antz together.

stealing half a pixar audience is a good way to make money.

reply

not sure, i think antz just works better for the grown ups but a bugs life certainly looks better and is funnier with a villian whose not too mean, mass murders a bit much for the kids when you think about it.

all good teenagers take off your clothes

reply

I agree, I mean I liked both movies, but i think they both targeted different audiences
Ants i think had a better or more intresting story line, but then a bugs life was much funnier.
I don't know its up to peoples opinion i guess, it's like comparing apples and oranges, there both delicious but don't taste the same. both movies have there different points.

The problem I have with Antz is with Woody Allen, he's just too recognizable to do voice acting. He never became the character. It's just Wood Allen doing a voice-over of a CGI ant for 2 hours.

reply

I didn't really like Antz. Ant Bully was much better.

reply

Antz was horrible.

I LOVE Antz. I think A Bugs Life and Antz are both great in their own ways.
