shareI'd be surprised if it did. Brendan Fraser is not in the best shape;not sure how fit he needs to be for playing Firefly in Batgirl.
shareWell, when it's your job, and a studio gives you a trainer, the equipment, the food, the time, and the motivation, one can get into shape. I mean, most of us have to go to work and still fit it in our day with all our other stuff. But an actor can sort of make it part of their job to go spend a few months in the gym.
sharemore likely to happen now Frasers back
shareLet's see. It would be nice.
shareDefinitely gonna happen. This is the era of the billion dollar nostalgic late sequel.
shareThe Fraser Mummy films do seem to be well liked/nostalgic by those who grew up on it as kids in late 90s/00s (20y now), Frasers having a comeback. so Universal are bound to be thinking if its worth pumping 200m into doing a 'nostalgic legacy sequel' in the hopes it could be a billion $ hit Jurassic/StarWars/Top Gun style..
They kind of did that abit with Mummy 3 (or maybe it was more jumping on the fact Indiana Jones was back the same summer) Be funny if they do Mummy 4 and it outgrosses Indiana Jones 5 (as Indy is like really old and it kind of belongs to previous 'old' generation now, and the previous Crystal Skull might damage its chances too)
I don't really want a Mummy sequel if they don't bring Rachel Weisz back. It's gotta be the original crew.
shareIt's weird they didn't just do a 4th movie like they planned. Antonio Banderas was signed on to play the villain.
shareAll three of them made just over 400 mill. Those are very solid reliable returns. It's definitely weird they didn't make another one. Even the Tom Cruise one made that much. That's how big the "Mummy audience" is. Figure out your target budget for maximum profit and bang em out.
shareFrasers win makes it all the more likely
