Happy 25th anniversary!
Theatrically released 21st August 1998.
The Blade movies were the shit back in the late 90s and early 00s.

I owned the DVD back when players were so expensive that it was better for me to install a DVD-ROM in my computer, which required a separate mpeg-2 decoder PCI card. It had a jumper to pass through the VGA from the graphics card and overlay the DVD video.
Watching on a PC monitor with RGB cables was better resolution and color than a standard TV, which was magical to me. Also the 5.1 channel computer speakers in a home setup seemed like science fiction at the time.
Anyway, DVDs were limited and expensive and this was one of the few I owned. I watched it so many times, not only could I recite the dialog word for word, but I could copy the delivery and inflections of all the characters. Weird times [for me].
Damn, where did all that time go.
Still holds up.
That is insane! I remember going to my local cinema to see it!
shareAside from the CGI as mentioned above I feel this movie & Blade II hold up really well. Trinity was pretty meh but I'll still watch it.

WOW...25 YEARS...I SAW BLADE WITH MY MOM AT THE THEATER...SHE THEN BOUGHT THE VHS THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED...SAME WITH BLADE 2.
