i do like this movie. i know a lot of people hate on it but it has its moments.
bbut liv tyler sucks, he cant act and she sucks. and she really comes off as annooying in t his film. when she complains in the command center that she has no wwhere to go or when she
attacks Billy Bob screaming how here family is up there, bitch the world is aabout to end and she is carrying on like an idiot

Tyler was worse in LOTR, i found no fault in this movie....the Military was being d!cks as per usual

She was good in Lord of the Rings, basically the only thing I’ve seen her in where she wasn’t annoying.

She’s insufferable in Armageddon, good looking but way too annoying and whiny

...but looks a million dollars and was fantastic as Arwen in LOTR.

1) She isn't really all that hot (and never was). Watts (Jessica Steen) was way hotter on sheer looks.

2) Yeah, Tyler was supposed to be super-smart and mature, yet she spent 90% of the time they were in flight throwing stupid temper tantrums. "Can they take off the asteroid or not??" "Listen honey pie, if they take off the asteroid without drilling the hole and dropping the bomb, the earth gets blown up before they even make it back home, so unless they can get that hole drilled, what the hell difference does it make if they can take off or not??"

3) I haven't liked her in many other movies, although IMO she was very good in
"That Thing You Do!," in a much more minor role.

Wow, I thought she was one of the bright spots in Armageddon and was very good in LOTR as well. Armageddon has its flaws to be sure, but Liv Tyler is definitely NOT one of them.

I wasn't all that crazy about her - but to be fair, she was only following direction.

Blame the writer and/or the director.

I always thought she was overhyped, but she’s harmless enough and sufficiently attractive despite a slight Down’s appearance.
