Pinhead vs. Djinn
Pinhead (hellraiser) versus Djinn (wishmaster). Who would win?
shareUh... why would they even have reason to fight?
In fact, I think they'd probably just trade amusing stories about torture and talk about how their soul-stealing bussinesses are going.
But if they did fight, it seems like they'd just get into a stalemate. I don't think death applies to either of them, really...

Probably...but in a fantasy world where these dudes have to fight eachother then I think that the most likey senario would be Pinhead doing some monologue and then Djinn would ask some dumb question and Pinhead would do some more monologueing and so on...
Pinhead is to smart to be fooled by simple wordtricks and Djinn cant do *beep* unless Pinhead wishes something...
Also: Pinhead can die, Bloodline anyone?

It would probably be a lot like the episode of Millenium "Somehow, Satan got behind me" They would get together, and discuss various effiecent methods of rounding up souls.
sharei have gone back and forth reading each post and agreeing with it, then thinking about it and feeling another would win.
but in the end, i think that the entire concept for the rules reguarding each creature and thier boundries, is rules written for creature vs humanity.
kinda a cool idea though, like they did with freddy vs jason, come up with a reason for pinhead to want to take on the djinn then work with each creatures rules and weakness and strenghts.
i saw great posts in favor of both.

Just like Freddy, The Wishmaster would win hands down. Pinhead is but a demon, while the Djin has "trod over the wings of angles with its concrete feet" now, thats power! the Djin is a god, not a weakling human. and appears to be able to fight other supernatural creatures without being hindered with making wishes.

Have you followed the Nightmare on Elm Street Saga? As stated in The New Nightmare, Freddy is in fact a Djin. prior to that he was a dream demon. not some ghost. when he killed you in dream, you died for real. no ghost does that I don't care how scary he is. for exception of that Michel J. Fox film. forgot the name but it had a bad ass grim reaper.
shareI agree that Djiin is more of a "God type/Satan" and the Djinns are actual ancient human myth, Pinhead is modern fiction and hes the head minion for Leviathan, some would say Djinn is Leviathan or a representation of him on Earth.
But the concept of Wishing Pinhead away wouldnt exacly work, cuz the wish arent exacly what you ask for, it always has a bad twist. I bet he would wish Pinhead away but only to bring him back bigger, stronger, more evil, under his control and the final twist would be to give him a new name and look
"Screw Head or Hammer head ".
Djinn as been around longer he as seen civilizations come and go, hes more intelligent for sure, has unlimited creatrive/destructive power. Pinhead relys too much on physical violence with chains, an entity like Djinn wouldnt care.
At first i was going to say that Djinn never ever had a ounce of humanity in him so that would make him stronger mentaly (couldnt fall for psychic traps, play with emotions etc..), but we all know that humans have the capacity to be extremely dangerous, pure twisted evil with no remorse , they have the ability to use imagination for better or worse, be creative on their own, Djinn relys on others for his "creativeness", so that piece of humanity could save or kill Pinhead ,depends on how you look at it.
I say they are co-workers working for the same boss for the same goal,
I prefer Pinheads look, monologues, world, but he seems very limited compaired to Djinn.
The only way to really know whos better is too count the number of souls they gathered.
I would imagine that Djinn wins the numbers game as he as been around longer ,never was replaced and works alone.
Cold Djinn time again...

Djinns are more powerful ,older and represents evil better. Thought they have huge limitations and we all know Pinhead is not a wish man, he just comes and takes it. Therefore he could kill him without making a wish, and Djinn couldn't use his power for defense, because no wish were made. Also as we see, the wishes make Djinn stronger, therefore it is obvious that with time he grow weaker, because after being in gem for long time he did not even had legs. Pinhead, on the other hand, does not grow weaker, and does not need to feed on anything.

One question for you: How can Pinhead win if the Djinn can't be killed? This is what the Djinn said himself when Alex wished for him to blow his own head off:
"That which is eternal cannot die. But if it's any consolation to you sweet Alex, THAT HURT LIKE HELL!"
You can hurt him, but that's just pain, it's not death. If anything, it'll be a stalemate, unless Pinhead reverts to his human form for some reason. Pinhead could pull him apart with his hooks and chains, but the Djinn just reform again, like he did with the blown out head.
As for how the two of them would encounter eachother, here's how I see it happening: A collector of arcane artifacts (maybe even Beaumont from the first film) just happens to have both the Djinn's Fire Opal and the Hellraiser puzzle box in his collection. Somehow, someone activates both of them, and so the two are fighting over the catalyst's soul.
That's all I've got, due to revision as I see it, as I just pulled it out of no where in a few seconds.
Djinn can only use his powers when granting wishes, and Pinhead can't hurt Djinn at all.
Did They Teach You That At Whore Academy?
Both are eternal. That which is eternal can not die. So it's a tie.
shareI'd say Pinhead if the following conditions are met:
1. If the Djinn was the one whose desire opened the Lament Configuration or was made as part of a deal that Pinhead has made with a potential victim, like what Kristy did with him. Otherwise, Pinhead would ignore him unless this is Hellraiser III Pinhead we're talking about. That version of Pinhead would've went after him just for being in his presence.
2. If the Djinn doesn't know that the Lament Configuration can send the Cenobites back. If he doesn't know, then Pinhead could possibly defeat him before he knows how. This point, however, could be moot since the Djinn proves that he has knowledge of things that he shouldn't of had (i.e. knowing about Harry Houdini and knowing how to speak modern English despite having been trapped in the fire opal for nearly a thousand years.), thus he might know of the Lament Configuration.
3. If Pinhead keeps his mouth shut and knows what he's going up against. If he doesn't, then the Djinn would use his words and lack of knowledge to his advantage and then it'd be all over for Pinhead.
4. If Pinhead isn't vulnerable to the Djinn's sword. Since the Djinn's sword can kill Angels (and possibly other Djinn), it's unknown if a Demon crafted by Leviathan would be affected or not.
5. If the Djinn manages to be brought to the Labyrinth (Clive Barker's version of Hell), either of his own volition, a victim's wish, or was dragged there by Pinhead or the other Cenobites.
Remember Pinhead's goal is not to kill (despite that happening with nearly all his victims) but rather to cause eternal pleasure and pain to the victim. Since the Djinn is supposedly unkillable, that would not be a hinderance to Pinhead and instead use it to his advantage to give the Djinn as much pain and pleasure as possible, possibly turning him into a cenobite as well.
Also, just to make things clear, outside of the crazy reality-warping powers he has with granting wishes, the Djinn's powers are limited to regeneration, teleportation, super speed, super strength, shapeshifting, taking the souls of victims whose wishes he already granted, manifesting his Demonic sword, giving the Waker visions of what he sees (usually of him killing victims), communicating with the Waker through these visions, and limited telekinesis that is NOT amplified by wishes (he could close doors with his mind but can't throw anybody around). I have to say that with those powers alone, he would still be a formidable adversary to Pinhead even if Pinhead kept his mouth shut and knew what he was going up against. So even with the conditions I've listed, it's still hard to say who would win.
Welcome to my Nightmare- Freddy Krueger
Damn this thread was made in 06! anyone still checkin up from then?
If you get them wet, all your friends can have one! hurray for Mogwais!!!
Haha... Great thread. You can't kill either one of them, officially. So it is a battle that could go on and on without a winner.
